Imagine yourself in prison. Imagine that the people in charge of that prison were making money to hold you there, and would lose a source of income when you were released. Can you fill in the rest of the story?
Private prisons are an abomination and must all be closed. When Jesus told his followers not to forget those in captivity, it certainly meant not standing silently while broken lives are put on sale.
