Multiple sources are reporting that Syrian rebels have admitted that they accidentally mishandled chemical weapons provided to them by the Saudis. The situation is still unclear, but hopefully the revelation will dampen the Obama Administration’s pressure to bomb the nation.

Below is the Voice of Russia story:
Jim,
This is an interesting story. How credible is the source? It doesn’t seem to me to fit some of the evidence I’ve heard described. For example, I’ve heard that we have satellite information regarding the rockets that delivered the weapons, i.e., launch source, time and path, and they were not from rebel controlled sites. Hopefully, we’ll learn more soon. It doesn’t change my concern over any US military response. 9/1/13, 08:00 CDT
Bob, I honestly don’t know how reliable the story is. I’m not seeing other sources pick it up. The reporter has worked for PBS and AP. FAIR had a nice story trying to weigh the two claims. I posted the story not because I believe it, but because I belief if there is a reasonable doubt we should not bomb another country. Thanks, as always, for your thoughtful response.
